About The Women’s Organizing Network

The Women’s Organizing Network advances the leadership of women and non-binary organizers, particularly Black, Indigenous and people of color, and supports social justice organizations to integrate an intersectional gender analysis to their community organizing work. WON’s flagship program is a six-month leadership development cohort for women and non-binary organizers who work as organizers at social justice organizing groups and unions across New York City – WON Leadership Circles. The purpose of the cohort is for women organizers to build relationships of mutual support, learn strategies to advance their own leadership, and take action to apply an intersectional gender lens to community organizing, in their organizations. WON also offers networking events, workshops and consulting services to organizations engaged in community organizing.
